number 6

working in retail has slickened my tongue
and my morals have drained like a towel that's wrung

customer specialist?
I'm a weasely lyricist
crafting up notions
that put sales in motion

making transactions
with brand name distractions
they see the sticker
but not the kicker
what's underneath will break in a week

cashing checks
swiping cards
counting bills
making change

selling product
moving stock
'taching plans
changing hands

life of a salesman
a successful salesman
still has skel'tons
but they shake hands

------------------

hmm, my job is an internal conflict.
but i like the discount.
however, i feel i discount myself by working there.

Number 5

is it right for a boy
to feel this void?
like sailing through space
in a sea of silent stars

while they glimmer their grins
his head starts to spin
and the dots blur to streaks
but there's no floor to fall on
he just keeps sailing through space
in a sea of silent stars
all of them distant
all of them far

he sees a moon
he sees a sun
he sees the blackness
of oblivion

------------------

hmm, not very solid, i kinda lost where i was going, which is ironic because the lyrics make it seen like there's nowhere to go.

not dissappointed.
